Have you picked a verse for 2014?
My verse has ten words...
One word for each finger.
When I need to take a deep breath...
I'll speak those ten words and let the truth of them soak into my soul.
You haven't ever thought of claiming a verse from God's word?
Why don't you claim Philippians 4:13 with me?
Wishing all of you my dear readers...
a most wonderful and happy New Year!
all for now..
I try to say this verse five times every morning before I get out of bed. That instruction came from the book The Power of Positive Thinking. Happy healthy new year to you too!ReplyDelete
Thank you for visiting Marla. Wishing you and yours a wonderful new year.Delete
My verse for the year - one word for each day of the week: "I have stilled and quieted my soul. ". Psalm 131:2ReplyDelete
Have so enjoyed reading your words this year! God's peace be yours in 2014!
That is a perfect verse to hold for this new year, Lovella. I wish you and your family a blessed, peaceful and healthy 2014. PamelaReplyDelete
This is a beautiful verse for a New Year! You have challenged me to think on this! Many blessings to you and your family Lovella!ReplyDelete
My pick and the first thing that popped into my head upon reading your post:ReplyDelete
"Judge not, lest ye be judged." Only six words, but very hard to live up to sometimes. xoxox
Thank you so much for that verse. What a great way to remember it. Using your 10 fingers. I will claim this for my verse as well. I have been following your blog for many years and I'm not sure I have ever commented. I just want you to know that your blog, pics and MGCC has been a blessing to me. Wishing you and your family a Blessed 2014!! As I write my portzelky dough is rising and I will bring them to our large Mennonite family gathering this aft. ireneReplyDelete
That's a great verse to choose and claim. Not sure what I will use, still working on it. Just might consider this one! Happy new year to you and your family!ReplyDelete
Did I not make a comment? I'm losing it, but I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me! Good advice. Happy 2014!ReplyDelete
Lovella, the thing about this verse that at times causes me to try to come to terms , is the word "all" things. Really, the times when I am just too tired, or too discouraged, or too perplexed with the situations I face, God quietly reminds me of the "all" things that I can do through Him. What a special verse to claim and hang on too, as we face the year ahead.ReplyDelete
Thank you, Lovella! I believe it is implied that "all things" are things He asks of me . . . and when He does He will enable as well. That is certainly a verse to carry us,ReplyDelete
I love your suggestion to use your fingers! And I love how you are using photos with words on them! Happy New Year!!ReplyDelete
