I'm so thankful that I don't regret who I married.
Thirty-five years ago I married the love of my life.
At nineteen I couldn't possibly have known what our life together would be like and even now I can't know what our remaining years will be like.
God knows all that life will hold for us and we choose to trust that he knows best.
May we together be faithful to always trust God's heart.
This photo is not current this year.
A couple of years ago we went on a cruise and I know now how they sell pictures on those cruises.
They use a very soft lens to remove all the signs of age.
I'm just telling you that so that when we meet face to face you won't worry that I've aged tremendously in the last while.
Tonight we will make our favorite dinner together.
I'll set the table with the china that was given to us for wedding gifts.
He'll light the candles and turn on some music from the year we got married.
We could go out for dinner...
but there is no one here but us and you just can't find that in a restaurant.
We are happy.
all for now...
with love,
Beautiful! A very Happy Anniversary to the two of you! May God bless you with many many more!

ReplyDeleteYou have such a real and honest way of writing and sharing, that smiles come with every visit. I was looking at the beautiful picture of you and your husband and thinking to myself as to how young you both look...then I read your words. I love that wedding picture of you two also. I have enjoyed all the posts that you shared today, including your city visit with grown children.
ReplyDeleteWishing you many more years to enjoy life together!
Happy Anniversary to the two of you! It continually amazes me as to how God brings couples together, and then how He uses that couple in so many special ways. The pictures you shared and the sentiments too, are a real indication of His faithfulness. What a fun trip to the city and great pictures of it all.
