Downton Abbey Personality Test

I've been still pondering the ending of season three of Downton Abbey.
No worries...there are no spoilers here for those of you who are still catching up!

I do enjoy a personality test now and then...
just to see if I am still who I think I am.

If you are a fan of the Masterpiece theatres Series then you already know that the personalities are loveable and sometimes infuriating at the same time.

My result?
I turned out to be most like Isobel Crawley.
My eyebrows raised up considerably at this result.

Isobel Crawley
"Roll up your sleeves and prepare to get dirty, because Isobel's charitable jobs are right for you.
Your hands-on work for those who need it the most can get you into trouble, especially when you cross the line from leader to bossypants.
But while your values or methods may not make you popular, your heart is in the right place."

Well...
I guess there is a grain of truth in that personality test...squirm..squirm.

I do love her quote though..
"Remember, we must hate the sin but love the sinner." Isobel Crawley

So...take the quiz and come back and tell me your result and if you agree.

all for now..

  1. Hmmm...seems I'm an Isobel as well. No, I don't agree. I want to be Mrs. Hughes. ; ) Besides, I often wanted a different choice because the responses were not quite right.

  2. Well, when I took the test a few weeks ago I came out as Lord Grantham!!! Ha ha ha! But, I really do like his character!! Downton Abbey has been so fun! I had some friends over on Monday and we randomly started talking about the show and probably continued on for 30-40 minutes! It was perfect too when one of the ladies opened a birthday gift a few minutes later and it was "Downton Abbey the Real story"!! I am seriously contemplating having a Downton Abbey Tea this summer (similar to the Diamond Jubilee Tea). It would be a lot of work....but I must have recovered enough from the last tea to actually start dreaming about another. :)

  3. Daisy Mason, Assistant Cook

Like Daisy, you have an excellent work ethic and are indispensible. Remember these strengths during discouraging times when you're treated like…well, like the scullery maid. Focus on the work before you, but also learn from those around you. And above all, seek only good professional advice. Do you think Helen Gurley Brown, David Geffen and other mailroom moguls rose to the top by taking off-the-cuff counsel from disgruntled middle management? Learn all about Daisy Mason.

    Well...that was a surprise!

  4. I'm an Isobel too--however, I must admit that I'm still in Season 1 and have little idea what's going on.

  5. I am most like Daisy...hard-working and indispensable. Who knew? I make a good scullery maid! I had a hard time answering the questions...since my answers were often not an option. We are still working our way through season 2 and most enjoying it!

Well I guess I'm Daisy. :) I'm with Judy, they didn't provide answers that were really that suitable to me, either. I suppose my days in the house cleaning business must shine through!

  7. Lady Edith here..."You like helping out and the feeling of self-worth derived from good work." I think it suits me. :-) Did I mention that Doug and I have started watching it?? We are near the end of season 2. Can't wait to see season 3! Glad you didn't have any spoilers AND that you gave that disclaimer at the beginning of your post. :-)

  8. The Dowager Violet.
Gee I wouldn't mind that at her age.

Really would enjoy being the family's dog!

  9. I came out as is Isobel too. Not the most exciting character, at least I wasn't O'Brien!! I didn't like snobby lady Mary either although I like Michelle Dockery. I wanted to be Lady Edith, she at least had some hope for an exciting future, away from convention. Loved the series, am having withdrawls. Angharad

  11. I have yet to watch any of this series, although I have sat in many a group where it is the topic of conversation. I must say too, that you seem to be a leader and one who is always getting so much done, so your test results fit you well.
    Great post!

  12. I have done that quiz and every time I turn out to be: Lady Edith! Sadly though I wish I was some other character. But Lady Edith apparently is most like me! Interesting!! Thanks for posting!!
