This is my Gertrude Jekyl Rose.
I feel that the name as a whole is a bit unfortunate for this gorgeous David Austin Rose.
I don't mind the name Gertrude. . .but Jekyl?
I most certainly love the color pink!
It is almost for sure my favorite!
Have a wonderful summer day!
Your roses inspire awe in me. I'm happy with my little knock-outs, but they don't have the definition and beauty of these. It could be called anything and it wouldn't negate it superior qualities. Gertrude, Brumhilda, Ima, Jekyl is pushing it.ReplyDelete
its with an "s"ReplyDelete
Gheesh, I think I need a new keyboard. It can't be me.
That is one of the prettiest colors in a flower bed...and it even looks wonderful on some people...I love that deep rose color...I think I will need to save some of those names and plant a rose garden once again. (You can tender it? or maybe your beloved?)ReplyDelete
She's a beauty despite the name. I'm pretty fond of pink myself...ReplyDelete
A splash of pink in the flower bed...especially in the form of a beautiful rose...very pretty! I think we could come up with a much lovelier name though.ReplyDelete
II had to keep checking ot make sure there was not "r" in there.ReplyDelete
But, as has been said, a rose is rose and even by another name it would still be sweet.
Now, at least you know the names of your roses. Our bushes are old and I do not know them by name. The main thing at that time was to get them planted. They are roses.
Maybe it is for the beautiful Jekyll Island off the coast of Georgia. We are headed there next week for our annual family vacation. Maybe I will research that! :-)ReplyDelete
She is a beauty!!ReplyDelete
ABsolutely gorgeous!!! I still can't figure out how you also have peonies still in bloom when our season lasts only 1-2 weeks. Glad you can enjoy them longer!ReplyDelete
Oh how I wish they were in my flower bed right now. Of course, that would make me proud and that's not good, right? Seriously, if I grew flowers like yours, I would advertise on a billboard on my main street:) Beautiful!ReplyDelete
Your roses are amazingly beautiful! How absolutely perfect! and yes.. the colour is surely my favorite !!ReplyDelete
