Good Friday

"Man of Sorrows" Wat a Name,
For the son of God who came
Ruined sinners to reclaim!

Hallelujah!
What a Saviour!

Bearing same and scoffing rude,
In my place condemned He stood,
Sealed my pardon with His blood;

Hallelujah!
What a Saviour!

Guilty, vile and helpless we;
Spotless Lamb of God was He;
"Full atonement! can it be?

Hallelujah!
What a Saviour!

Lifted up was He to die,
"It is finished" was His cry;
Now in heaven exalted high,

Hallelujah!
What a Saviour!

When He comes,
our glorious King,
All His ransomed home to bring,
Then anew this song we'll sing,

Hallelujah!
What a Saviour!

  1. Yes! Hallelujah what a Savior. I just said on Kathy's blog that I'm having my own worship service here at my computer singing all the songs you girls posted today!

  2. Full atonement......that is worth singing about. All the songs being shared on blogs today are ones that I remember singing as a child. I love how those words, just like those in scripture are embedding in our minds and hearts.

  3. Philip Bliss wrote some incredible songs. I have always loved this one. The Lord is a wonderful Savior and worthy of all praise.

    (Side note...the Paska party went well. Everyone oohed and ahhhed and we had a good time. Each household took home a loaf for toast tomorrow.)
