Christmas Eve 2009

We'll start the day with a pot of coffee and some warmed cinnamon buns.

Conversations will include some chuckles from the care group dinner last night.

I'll wash some linens and prepare some appetizers for after the Christmas Eve Service.

For the last month. . .

I've reset the bed with the tray of goodies and we've yet to drink the cocoa and eat the chocolates . .

but maybe tonight we will.

It's Christmas Eve.

All for now . .

  3. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!!! I'm sure it will be fun with all the little ones. Someday I'll be at your stage of life and enjoy a bit of quiet with some nice sticky buns on Christmas Eve morning. But, it's a different stage around here.... :) Best enjoy it while I have it. And now I've gone and turned my fingers and nails GRAY from silver polishing. Won't that look lovely tomorrow!!! :)

  4. Cocoa in bed in the morning is a lovely bit of indulgence favored by all the Regency novel romantic ladies. They had servants to deliver it, but perhaps a thermos could be filled the night before and placed discreetly nearby?

When the grandgirlies are a bit older, they might like that sort of treat too.

So many ways to have fun...and joy when hearts are clean and given to the One who brought Joy to the World in this season.

  5. It sounds like a lovely Christmas Eve unfolding out your way. I'm just thinking you might want to remove the white coverlet from the bed before you bring on the hot chocolate.

Wishing you & Terry a most blessed and joyful Christmas.

  11. Lovella,
I saw your bed, with that tray and guess what's on my gift list to my husband...Exactly that tray, with some of his favorite cookies, Tee Gebaeck, that he does not know about...I've hid them.
So tomorrow morning, coffee in bed...
I just need to find those red silk jammies.....
    Your friendship is a blessing.
