cool evenings

We still go to our tent most evenings. . .

and when we run out of things to talk about. . .

there is always scrabble. . .

and freshly picked blackberries from our back forty.

It's still to early to wear these jammies. . .

but not to early to enjoy seeing them hanging about.

OH .. .and who won the game?

He did . .

All for now. . .

  1. Ah..Scrabble! We love that game...it's especially fun being played from the balcony of our cruise ship as we sailed past the glaciers on our Alaskan cruise. On an 8-night cruise, we played 4 nights...I won three games (I was more interested in the whales than in the game!).

  4. That sounds like the perfect way to spend me evening to me. Win or lose...it's always fun playing with words. And throw in a few balckberries on ice-cream...what could beat that?

I'm smiling...the word verification is playsom.

  5. I love Scrabble - play it at home, when my mum visits and with the clients at work.
Beware of any player that has a 'lucky Scrabble sweater' - you'll be well and truly trounced, as I was!

  13. I had a few minutes break this evening and scrolled down through my blog. When I saw your Scrabble board, I just had to quickly comment. Right now on my kitchen table is a half finished game which we started this afternoon. My daughter and son-in-law had to leave for a dinner tonight and we did not get to finish, and so it waits.... Fun to read that you like this game also. Perfect summer activity.

  15. Love it..the whole post. Slipping out in the evening to 'camp' in the tent in the back yard....picking the blueberries fresh and playing scrabble...wonderful memories... and you chose to keep them alive...terrific! You two are a real hoot!
