you are very blessed.
On my beloved's birthday .. my brother Ken and his wife Mary that he still loves to pieces after 40 years. . had us over for dinner.
They also invited my other brother .. Gerry and his wife Heidi who recently moved back to our home town ..
Our parents are gone .. .and we still get together. . that is how you know your family is close.
here is a bit of proof that we did not.
They have such a wonderful yard and porch and when they
share it in hospitality. . .
share it in hospitality. . .
it's a wonderful thing.
A stroll around their farm. . . and we headed back home. . .
Heidi agreed to jump as high as she could for the photo op.
Oh . .and to all my friends down in California. . .
I turned on the noon news yesterday . . and thought of my aunt Frances. .
I thought of Ellen too but made a quick calculation that she's up in Washington right now. .
Is is just me. . or do we think of each other when world events are noted on the news?
I find immense comfort to think that someone might think about me.
Earthquakes. . .scary things, I'm glad you stayed safe.
To all of you that commented on Monday's post. . and to all you who emailed me. .
thank you. I appreciate your comments so much. I was very touched that so many of you thought of your own friendships and felt compelled to call your friends.
We really don't know how much time we have on this earth. . I can't help but think that she must have left very little undone in her relationships. . what a blessing.
Have a wonderful day my friends. . .
Thanks for sharing your pics Lovella..can tell you had a wonderful time! Good to hear that family are friends as well.
ReplyDeleteHey! Thanks for thinking of me :0)
ReplyDeleteDear felt the quake real good in Camarillo. My parents were the closest to the epicenter of my family and they had books and pictures fall off shelves and the wall. Nothing broken though. My sisters MIL was on the "pot" when it shook. :0) It sounds like Willow was in the car on her way to San Diego and she didn't feel it. I haven't heard anything from Sara..
