where's the peanut buttter?

We are having another spectacular morning on the farm. I crept out of bed early and crunched through the frost to the back of the property to have a peek at the sunrise.

Well if I've learned one thing from blogging it is that it is a source of accountability.
I told you yesterday that I was going to clean my fridge but I was soon a little sidetracked with office work. Then I came back a few hours later to have a look at the comments,
and when I realized that you were thinking you should clean your fridge too I felt compelled to get going on the task.

I took everything out and put it on the counter.
I removed all the drawers and gave everything a good scrub and started to shove it all back in.
Lucky me I had the queen of organizing over yesterday and she ventured over to have a peek and she set about organizing my fridge.

(big smirk here . . .I knew she would do it . .she just loves to organize)

Today, I'm giving my stove a going over too.
I have three hours to kill.
I'll work in my office a bit and do a bit of stitching.

Oh and by the way, if you don't have one of these for your stoves . .
run and put it on your Christmas list.
Even if you have a self cleaning oven, this liner is wonderful.
Everything wipes off so easy and there is no worry about those drippings in the oven.

Have a wonderful day my friends, we're off on a date after lunch.
Woo hoo.

  1. I really don't want to think about cleaning...there's so many more fun things calling! But you are an inspiration. So where do you find those oven liners? That looks like a great idea.

  2. Oh I should have mentioned that Judy. Occasionally they can be found at Home Sense . .I always look there first because they are a bit pricey. Otherwise they are typically found in kitchen stores. I'd check Linen and Things. I've also seen them at the Gourmet Warehouse in Vancouver.

  7. I thought of you yesterday when I added a parchment lining to the cookie sheet under the apple pie. Of course it bubble over just a bit, and I was so glad that you had "pushed" parchment awhile ago.

I'll add the non-stick liner to my Christmas list...right after "Weekly Maid Service."

And "See if Lovella hires out as a long distance cook."

  8. I understand Bea's love of organizing. My mom call's me over to help her out with that once in a while. Then for days after she has to call me and ask where her stuff is.

I also think I'm going to look for that oven liner. My oven is a mess right now after baking an animal cell project with our son.

  10. I think that's a great idea too! Along with the weekly maid service. And the cook named Lovella. Although I think it might be a tad hard to maintain my girlish figure with all that good food!

  14. I've never heard of the oven liners before, but what a great idea! Even though I have a self-cleaning oven, I don't like to use that function very often. This would be perfect. Thank you for your wonderful suggestions!

(Can I borrow your lovely organizer? I've got to clear out and clean up my house to put on the market, and I'm terrible at that!)

Beautiful sunrise...definitely worth crawling out of bed for!
