Thank you

We are celebrating Thanksgiving this weekend.
When I was little, we would go to church as we regularly did, but then we would stay for a lunch and have a praise service in the afternoon. On the holiday Monday it was our tradition to climb the mountain at the end of our road and trudge through the Girl Guides camp and wind our way to the top to enjoy a wiener roast
. As our parents aged, it changed to a drive up the mountain so that we could crunch through some leaves and build a fire and roast some wieners. In the last few years my extended family will find one nice crisp evening to make a bonfire and call us together for a wiener roast.
This year we feel blessed to have a family dinner including Mom (Terry's mom), Rik and Brenda and our children.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Let your lives overflow with thanksgiving for all he has done.
Colossians 2:7
~~~~~~~~~~~~
As I take a moment to remember all our blessings over this last year, I am amazed at all we have been given. I have a husband that loves me. We have healthy and loveable sons that love their wives. We have wonderful daughters by love, and we look so forward to being Grandparents . ..Praise the Lord.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.
1 Chronicles 16:34
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We have such wonderful friends who are a gift to our soul. Thank you so much for being a blessing in our lives.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God.
Philippians 1:3
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As I packed my food bank bag I marvelled at the privilege of giving. What a blessing it is to give. We don't want to ever be guilty of being stingy with what we have been given.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.
1 Chronicles 16:8
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I look so forward to our church service. We will sing and worship and be enriched with the word of God. We will come away from that with a full heart and a more tender spirit.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Praise the Lord! I will thank the Lord with all my heart as I meet with his godly people. How amazing are the deeds of the Lord! All who delight in him should ponder them.
Psalm 111:1-2
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then, . .. .we'll be ready to love on our family.
Have a wonderful weekend my friends . ..I'm off to disinfect and cook.

  10. I had not realized that in Canada the symbol of Thanksgiving Day is the weiner. We in the USA always had to draw pictures of turkeys in school when we were talking about Thanksgiving Day. It sure would have been a lot easier to just draw weiners.
    Sigh.
    One more thing for you all to be thankful for.
    By the by...I am thankful for you and other Canadian blogger friends!
