2013

Another year has come and gone.
I always think it is good to look back and see what we did that mattered enough to us...
to take some pictures.

It seems...
a lot of my year was taken up with Mennonite Girls Can Cook...
grandkids...
and camping.

There were cooking classes.

Our family had a  few unexpected doctor and dentist visits.

It seems our family has a theory that there is nothing a good noodle can't fix.

I also admit that dressing up the five of them brings me joy.

A trip to see the beach is always good and a little time alone there with my beloved.

Seeing the Celebration book fill tables in book stores was exciting...

and wonderful to share with these wonderful women I am blessed to call my friends.

There was a bit more travelling this year.
Anneliese and I went to Toronto.

It was an amazing opportunity to tell our story.

Kathy and I tried our hand at making walking tacos on Breakfast Television.

We had a wonderful time as a group going to Winnipeg to do some book signings and see Betty and Charlotte.

It was wonderful to be together and enjoy some time to celebrate again.

A few of us also went to Saskatoon to do several book signings there and Kathy and I also went to Phoenix to the Mennonite Assembly convention.

We had our annual family weekend away at Harrison Hot Springs.

There was some ATV riding.

There was some bathing in campsites.

There was some rock painting....

and  a little bit of unsuccessful gopher hunting.

I enjoyed a few bubble baths...

and the new sport of BMX in our family.

There was a ATV trip up to Larson Hill with our farming community friends.

There was my month of Thankfulness.

Some days we ate like kings and on other days enjoyed simple meals of wiener roasts.

We found ourselves back on the kitchen stage at the West Coast Women's Show.

We went to Calgary to sign books and visit our Auntie Hilda and Uncle Lou and their very fun family.

We cut down a Christmas tree...

and packed up cookies for our first ever Christmas Cookie Class.

Near Christmas there  was a ballet recital... which I loved.

There was a snowfall that had me excited...
and him heading out to clean the driveway.

And now here we are on the last day of 2013.

We are so thankful again for God's hand on us and our family.

Thank you to each of you for coming along with me each day.
You have been such an encouragement to me so often.
I am amazed at how much I have learned from each of you as  I read your blogs and you share parts of your life with me.

Wishing you and your family all the best for 2014!
