Breakfast Television and trendsetter trim at Anthropolgie

Up at the crack of dawn and off to Vancouver was worth every last lost minute of sleep.
We had a great time.  It is so much fun to set up shop in someone else's kitchen.
The whole experience is a challenge that is waiting to be overcome.
Here is the link to the segment of Kathy and I putting together Walking Taco's and River Walk Guacamole.
In the meantime...
I'd like to say that it was a wonderful experience that I would love to repeat.

After we finished we headed to South Granville and found ourselves a Starbucks and enjoyed our muffin that was offered to us in the Green Room at Breakfast Television from the Sweetery next door.
We couldn't resist the offering but didn't want to mess up our lipstick so carefully applied by their Makeup artist/friendly ice breaker lady.

Once our energy was replenished we walked down Granville to Anthropolige and poked around there a bit.

Imagine my freshly lined eyes...
opening wide when I saw the trim from our home-made aprons...
on a white floor skimmer eyelet  dress.

Things like that just makle me smile.
I thought when I spotted that trim last June that we would have a look that would be reminiscent of days gone by...
but maybe what once was...
is now a trend again today.

I'll be posting the rest of the apron story this coming Saturday on MGCC.

We  continued to browse through this store that intrigues me.
They had a black board in their kitchen section above which had Rhubarb Sorbet listed.
If you have the Celebrations book...
you know why that also would make me smile.

It was a lovely day!
I'm thankful for days like this that will be tucked away in my memory bank for years to come...
knowing that they are all experiences that are gifts from God.
I don't believe in coincidences but I do believe that God knows what was...
what is...
and what is to come.

Not all days will be this sweet ...
but it is good to have them to remember when days are a bit tart!

all for now...

  1. What a fun day (and early one too) that you both had. I think your aprons are so pretty and the white dress you found is really sweet too. Blessings!

  3. I've watched you having fun over and over again...first live on Breakfast Television...then with hubby at noon...then with my grands in the evening. You two did such a great job! And I'm glad you made a fun day of it.

  4. You two did a great job....as always. I ordered two copies of "Celebrations" this morning and can hardly wait to receive them...especially after your comment about rhubarb sorbet. I'm intrigued. I hope they arrive before my rhubarb is all gone. It is hard to find here and I LOVE it! (Don't know why I procrastinated so long on placing my order. Maybe because I hoped I would be able to make the 3 hour trip to Harrisonburg to Ten Thousand Villages (which I love) but, alas, it looks like I won't get there any time soon.) Best wishes.

  8. It's fun to watch all your links - even better when I see you guys on the "big screen" :) You're all doing such an amazing job of advertising your books & missions - looking more relaxed and comfortable all the time. I'm sure the interviewer makes a huge difference too. So proud (in a good way) of you girls!

  9. I'll be following your link momentarily. Yes, everything comes back in fashion again eventually. You may not have realized what a trendsetter you are. Doesn't surprise me at all. Okay, off to learn about tacos and things...

  10. What a fun post! What special gifts you are given. I agree totally with you, that there are no coincidences with our God. Psalms 139 convinces me of that daily, and it is an exciting way to live. That is what makes your cookbook adventures so much fun for me to follow, because I know this is right where God has you all. And, that you share it with us, makes blogging so very special.
    Beautiful post!

  11. It's interesting how one can be in the oddest places and God gives you a reminder of something he has orchestrated. You found the trim on the dress and while I was high in the mountains, I found the book called Emerald Lake, A History and Celebration. I bought it!
