River walking with friends

Yesterday we took the freeway east to Chilliwack.
The day was beautiful and since rain is forecasted again this week we needed to soak up our fair share of Vitamin D.

We met Scot and Kathy at the bridge...
and headed back west along the river.

The guys kept their eyes on the river banks...
watching the fishermen....
while us girls chatted along the way.

It was the best surprise to find another girl..
and we visited with Elmer and Judy for awhile on the path.

Kathy invited us all over for supper...
and the perfect afternoon turned into the perfect evening!

Grilled burgers..
onion rings..
and orange chiffon cake!

I think I love spending winter at home...
after all.

  9. Ah, so Kathy was the mystery cook - what fun! I had to smile at the camera's hung over the shoulders of both gals.
