full of love

She is as her pajama top suggests.

Sometimes you just have to smile and open your wallet when you see things in the store.
I pray her heart will always be more full of love than hate....
and her joy will be evident to all.

What are you doing with your extra day of February?
I am making some fresh berry scones...
putting on a pot of coffee and then we are meeting someone new!

Later....the little ones will be by to clean up the rest of the scones.
How fun is that?

all for now..

  1. I thought it would be so fun to something different on our extra day -- one of those things you say you wished you had an extra day for.....but, as it is, we are going to follow our normal routine. I have a lot of baking to do: yogurt, gf bread, and homemade cleaners, a casserole and salad and cookies for someone, and dinner. Rachel has been on a baking kick! She made apple dumplings on Monday and Peach pie yesterday, AND she cleaned up the kitchen afterward! Long may this continue!

  2. Well, rats. I forgot leap day. I should be doing something much more fun than going to work. Enjoy your scones and the little ones. A special day indeed.

  4. What an adorable pajama top... and a fun way to spend this extra day. Fresh berry scones sound delicious. I will be busy in my kitchen today too. My son has been dropping hints for some fresh banana bread, so today is the day.

  7. I was going to have a day like any other - work, gym, home. Then I decided to do something I'd never done before, so this afternoon I'm off to have a facial!

  8. Like Kathie...my first thought was 'Ellen will love this top'!

It sounds like you are planning a fun 'bonus day'. The sun is peeking out...I'll be out and about this morning...and plan to have friends in tonight.

  9. Oh yes girls you called it! I'm ready to drive to the store where Lovella picked this up and buy a couple!! By now though they are most likely all gone. Love it! Good thoughts for your little one...
I'd love one of your scones to go with my coffee.

  10. Enjoy your special day Lovella - sounds like you've got a good one planned for sure! Love the pj top too and the thought that - may she always be full of love!
Same old, same old for me today - work, reheat shepherds pie for supper (at least that's done ahead), grocery shopping and curling.
    Scones sound good right now!

    1. Hi Shirley, I would expect that you should have left it in the oven another hour. Savoy cabbage is much more tender. I bet the leftovers will be perfect. They just seem to get better each time they are reheated.

  14. That is one cute pajama top! No wonder you could not resist such a sweet gift.

Your mention of berry scones has tipped my indecision about whipping up a batch of cinnamon rolls...I'm going to give in and do that...and eat to my heart's content. Something warm and fragrant from the oven is just perfect on this chilly afternoon!

Blessings to you on this Leap Day.

  15. I'm sending love and birthday wishes to our leap year grandboy. It's only his second real birthday although he is 8 years old.

  16. I am sitting here with my big mug of hot coffee. Do you happen to have any of your berry scones left for me?
