thirty-three

Today is our 33rd wedding anniversary.
Through the seasons of a marriage with it's best of times and it's seasons of necessary growth. . .
we find ourselves grateful  .. .thankful and content.

We woke this morning to glimpses of the snow crested mountains of the north shore in Vancouver.

Dinner on Wednesday night was fantastic at Joe Fortes Seafood and Chop house.
Notice the pot of spring bulbs outside their window?
I was taking a picture of them him.

We mentioned how low maintenance we both are . . .
and I think that is one of the best parts of our being together.
We don't take the length of our marriage forgranted ..
but as we walked around Vancouver yesterday we realized that talking and being together is what we enjoy best.

The theme for our wedding was . .
"The Lord is our Shepherd".

As my mom did. . .I walked down the aisle to the beautiful hymn ..
"Saviour Like a Shepherd lead us .. . "

We still hold to that truth.

all for now . .

  5. I always appreciate your posts about your marriage. Happy Anniversary.

I walked down the aisle to "The King of Love my Shepherd is"

I can't imagine walking through something as deep and wonderful and challenging as marriage without a Good Shepherd.

  6. You are celebrating 33 and we are celebrating 99. Isn't it wonderful how when I read your blog...and refer back to mine...we have the same God and foundation that has sustained us through our lives.
May you be richly blessed and why don't you hop over to my blog and take with you the same benediction.
