the pitter patter of rain

I'm not complaining.
I'm just saying that I think I'm getting scurvy.
There is nothing like the sound of pouring rain while I lay in bed.
We always sleep with our window open. . .spring, summer, fall and winter.
In the southern most corner of the British Columbia coast. .
all you need is rubber boots and one rain jacket. . .
the rest of the wardrobe is just a cover-up.
But. . .I'm not complaining.

all for now. .

  1. At least you don't have to shovel the stuff - but, for me, constant rain would really grate on my emotional equilibrium! I need sunshine!! We sleep with the windows open all the time too! What a refreshing sleep!

  2. Glad that you're not complaining...I'd be! Snow, snow, and more snow here. Just one storm after the next. It's quiet and white. Not so bad.

  3. We don't hear 'pitter patter' here in winter time, the snow falls silently. Today the sun is shining and all's well with my world! You make do with what you're given..you have the right attitude!

  4. I had on my rubber boots this week too. An essential part of a west coast wardrobe as far as I'm concerned.

  5. I will trade you some of our snow for some of your rain! :)
We need a good rain to wash away all the old grey frozen snow piles that are everywhere.

  6. It does seem to take an awful lot of rain to make BC green and beautiful, but the end results are totally worth it!

Big sloppy snowflakes plopping down here today. About 4 inches up at our place.

  7. We have snow and very cold temperatures. More like our usual Jan. Rain is a bit dreary in winter but I look forward to it in spring. I feel a wee bit sorry for you but not too much - because we'll still be shovelling when you're picking daffodils :)
