February 3

Yesterday we had a friendship day . .
Today we remember Hilda's John who passed away a year ago today.
All for now. ...

  1. Thanking God for creating friendship and the marvelous love between a man and a woman as experienced by Hilda and John.
A year gone by is also one year closer to the reunion...for them and all of us with our Bridegroom.

  4. How special. I'm glad you could get together.

And I just love the wallhangings on the front of the Art Gallery -- they are just "me". :)

  5. You were there, too! Did you see Judy and Elmer? LOL! Judy thinks it's a riot because I'm going to watch the Olympics hoping to catch a glimpse of her...or you!

A year goes by so quickly. We just saw the anniversary tribute to our friend this morning and thought how it feels as if it were just yesterday sometimes. We get a lot of comfort knowing where she is and I know that you experience that, too, with your friend.

    Here's to friendship!

  6. To think...we could have met on those steps at the art gallery yesterday! The umbrellas were a nice touch in the morning...for sure.

How nice to have a friendship day to mark the one year anniversary with your friend. May God continue to be her strength as she walks the road without her John.

  7. Yes - thank God for friendships - especially those that are eternal. May the Lord give you all a deep sense of His comfort and love today.

  8. What a special day... and the pictures say it all. Thinking of Hilda ... I remember the sad news a year ago ... may God continue to give her all that she needs, and may friends(with skin on)be there to help.

  9. Friends need each other. They need friendship day and time together, especially in light of the year anniversary of saying goodbye to a special guy. I know how much that meant to my mom during that painful and lonely time. How wonderful that you were there for Hilda, and you all shared a fun day together in that beautiful city.

  10. Enjoy your blog ... love your purse, may I ask what brand it is? Also would you share more about your devotional time, i.e.: do you journal, have a prayer notebook, what does your group study when you get together? Enjoy finding out how others study their Bible and do their prayer/devotional time. You are so organized with everything else! Looking forward to the Olympic pics.

  11. Vancouver looks so lovely. And we hear so many wonderful things about it, such as, "It's beautiful to visit but you couldn't live there. It's too expensive." :)

We are just outside of Portland, so we should drive there sometime. I wonder if an almost 7-year-old would find it enjoyable too?

    A beautiful tribute to her!
