at the cross . . .

Oh Lord Jesus . . .lover of my soul,
even as you knew what you faced at the cross . . .
still you went.
On that tree you died for me . . .
my soul is thrilled. . .
to think You died for me.
I would rather focus on Sunday morning ...
but my heart holds me here on Friday.
I am forced to search my heart . . .
I want to be like you Lord. .
I want to have a heart of love . . .
I say that I love ...
I say that I care ...
I say that forgive...
and then . .
my words and actions reveal the truth ...
. . .to think you died for me!
All for now. . with love,

  1. Hi Lovella,
I came by way of Judy (Just a Little Something for You).

What a beautiful, beautiful prayer! Praying that along with you today.

Blessings and may you have a joyous, blessed Easter celebration!

  2. Ahh yes, there's never any doubt with me that I need a Savior either. You express it so beautifully, Lovella.

  4. The meaning of Sunday could never be so valued if Friday had not occurred.

May you also have a blessed Easter with your family.

Every time we eat Paska we think of you.

  6. Oh.. I echo your prayer as well.. I'm always glad when God's Friday (originally called) is over... I know it is only an 'anniversary' of the event and Christ's suffering is not repeated, still it pains my heart to be reminded of it on this day!!
    but...
Sunday, blessed Resurection Sunday, is coming !!!!!

  8. Without this day, so long ago, there'd be no Resurrection, no Easter.
Wishing you and yours a Joyous Easter.
