  2. So glad you are in such a beautiful place and having fun! I can just imagine it. Maybe someday I'll be doing something similiar (I'll first have to talk Michael into camping).

  7. May, 1990, the temperature at Cannon Beach was 83 or so. I literally was a whale on the beach with two little ones running around. It was deserted, and beautiful. I guess the temps a bit different right now, but I am sure the beauty is still there. That was our first of many visits. Hope you are enjoying your reading material!

  10. When our kids were younger, we would go camping in the very early spring, when there was no one there except the diehard fishermen! We homeschooled the kids, so we could be out there for a few days...perfect for exploring!

  11. Breathe deeply for me.

I'm looking forward to our ice-breakup and breathing in that sea air myself.

  12. What is a sherpa hat? I'm glad to see you enjoying your jubilee honeymoon trip! A cozy little kitchen, a walk by the beach, books, and your best friend along . . . what more could you ask for? Have a great day!

  14. Haystack Rock in the distance?

I'll have to make a photo copy of the pencil drawing I did of that scene in the 1970's...

Wish I had a digital camera then to photo the driftwood. Such a great beach to walk on!

  15. Yes, bloggin connections are great! Yesterday, while reading the children about Canada and the various flowers/birds that go with each province, how could I not but think of you! :) It's so fun to know people all around the world/continent.

  17. This is the ONLY way to vacation. I am glad that you and I have something else in common Lovella.....this love for the 'real' side of the Pacific....not always at its best....as far as warmth and calm...but showing us its strength and beauty as well.
