Who can resist pausing when walking across train tracks?
Who can resist the beauty of golden grasses set against lush green pastures?
Who can resist the soft down of the cottonwood trees?
Small pleasures. . .with few words. . .
utter contentment. .
on this day in ..
July.
Have a wonderful day my friends..
Makes me think of that worship song "how can I keep from singing your praise"....
ReplyDeletePretty shots. Have a good day!
Words of contentment invite me this morning Lovella.
ReplyDeleteA quick run up a mountain and down to the quiet waters of the lake to refresh.
Gosh it is beautiful in your part of our world.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day.
Looks like you had a wonderful walk! I need to take my camera along sometime.
ReplyDeleteAs a wise person once said, "Life is not about how many breaths you take, but its the moments that take your breath away."
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos.
Bonnie
That captures the essence of summer for me - small pleasures, simple beauty, utter contentment.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lovella!
Not to negate your sentiments, but I just spent part of my morning vaccuuming that soft down out of my window screens. :)
ReplyDeleteVange
Where in the world did the amp in my display name come from? I see it's in Owen & Bonnies name too!

Cottonwood fluff? Soft downy fluff but not so nice when it floats into your burgers..hehe
ReplyDeleteLove your pics Lovella..have a great weekend!
Peaceful scenes and contented words make joyful spirits.
ReplyDeleteThe '&'symbol is called an "ampersan" so amp is a short form of the word, but of course I don't know why the word needs to be spelled out after the 'and'(&) symbol.
ReplyDeleteNice shots...good prose. Nature's simple beauty evokes a sense of contentment. I can just about 'see you' ambling along, camera strung over one shoulder...content in your walk.
ReplyDeleteBlessings today Lovella
