the action plan

Yesterday my beloved and I implemented the "working" at the kids basements trick.
The plan began actually months ago when we knew that going to the kids house would take on a whole new interest.
We deliberately began projects but purposely never completed either of them.
After chores were done yesterday we made the first call over to lil' miss n's house to say that we would be coming over to work in the basement a bit if that would be Okay.
Indeed it was.
My beloved brought along his big bucket of "mud" (as you'll remember from a previous post) and intermittently slapped on some mud with . . .
"hey . ..who's coming down here to see me .. . "
We spent a few hours "working" there and then when lil' miss n left to do her Christmas shopping we high tailed it out of there and manoeuvred our way onto the freeway towards the lil' farmhand's house.
This time my beloved brought along his trusty tools and
I brought along cash for the dinner option . . .
A few hours later we were headed towards home .. .
quite amused with our success in planning ahead.
We just have no idea when those basements will be complete.
It could take months . . maybe even years.
( a big smirk and a chuckle too)
Today, we're headed to a Christmas luncheon and then on a date . .
Even grammies and grampa's need dates.
woo hoo
Have a wonderful day my friends.

  1. Grammies can be so clever! And I know Lil Miss N and Lil Farmhand were thrilled to see you both.

    That's a lovely nativity set.

  2. Isn't it funny how you are "drawn" to see them, as if they will change from one day to the other ... but that's exactly it, they do change that fast. You are quite smart in your planning.

  4. I love the Willow Tree Nativity Set too. Actually that is what we got our parents for Christmas this year. Is it yours or one of your kids'?

Have fun dropping in on your grandkids. and have a great date together. I'm trying to remember when we had a date last.

  5. Sounds like a very wise grammie and grampa. I'm sure the new mommies and daddies can't see through the clever plot. ;)
